Reward Training

Many people think that reward training is the modern method of dog training. It's my belief that reward training predates leash training. It is reasonable to believe that reward training was fairly well developed by early humans. This would be especially true for the priests of people who kept animals as a form of worship.

Aggression is such a natural and innate type of behavior among dogs that willy-nilly, at some time or other, they will experience it. Today’s domestic dog no longer expresses aggression with slight facial expressions or a stiff tail. In fact, today these signs are interpreted to
mean that the animal is ready for attack or to defend himself. Unfortunately, these days, dogs come into this world carrying genetic and hormonal baggage-based behavior problems, learned problems, problems acquired in training and those born out of improper primary socialization.

How To Improve Your Dog's Behavior Through Exercise

We've all heard the old saying "idle hands are the devil's tools." The popularity of the adage stems from its validity. Those who are not able to keep themselves busy are far more apt to fill their time with inappropriate acts. If re-written to apply to man's best friend, the notion that "idle paws are the devil's tools" would ring true, as well. A dog who is not sufficiently engaged in physical activity is far more likely to present behavioral challenges.
