Crufts 2006, supported by Pedigree Masterfoods, attracted an audience in excess of 143,000 visitors over the four days of the show and along with the entry of 24,640 dogs from 178 different breeds from 32 different countries easily kept this annual extravaganza's place in the Guinness Book of Records as the largest dog show in the world.

Crufts offers visitors much more than just seeing dogs in competition. Dog lovers and prospective owners also had the chance to meet and greet 190 different breeds of potential pedigree partners in the Discover Dogs area and cross breeds and mongrels taking part in the various obedience, agility and training competitions.
The Kennel Club is preparing for the show in March 2007, when lights, cameras and lots of action will fill five halls of The NEC in Birmingham, but the world's greatest dogs has just got bigger with the new addition of the Arena. The additional hall will showcase a fast and furious programme of Agility and Flyball competitions as well as fun displays which will enthrall its audience.
