The Dogs Trust West Calder is sending out a message this Valentines Day, to give a loving home to 9, adorable crossbreed abandoned puppies.

The little pups came about after the Dogs Trust received their pregnant mum, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier crossbreed. She was found wandering the streets heavily pregnant. She soon gave birth and now her and her puppies are looking for families of their own.
The staff have named the mother Venus and the 9 puppies have also all been named after Greek and Roman Gods and Goddesses. There are four males; Faunus, Cupid, Artemis and Eros; and five females; Vesta, Antheia, Voluptas, Aphrodite and Flora.
Susan Tonner, Dogs Trust West Calder Rehoming Centre Manager, said:
"Whoever abandoned a heavily pregnant dog like this in December would have been aware that the consequences could have been very serious. Fortunately we were able to take them in and offer them lots of warmth, blankets, food and more importantly TLC. Now we hope that we can find them all new loving homes for life."
